“SAUDI BANKS JOINT RECEPTION” (SBJR) is a reception event that aims to create a platform of dialogue in which decision makers from the financial institutions get to share ideas and connect to develop potential for future change and growth.
The reception is hosted collaboratively by the banks of Saudi Arabia represented by its Chairman and Senior Management.
SBJR 2024 reception is implemented every year to promote the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its robust financial sector whilst building long-term relationships with industry leaders from around the world who come to attend the IMF/WBG annual meetings. It also provides an opportunity for multilateral economic discussions and the exchange of ideas between officials representing Saudi Arabia’s financial sector, GCC, International banks and policymakers from around the world.
Saudi Arabia is the birthplace of Islam and hometown of the two holiest shrines in Mecca and Medina. The king’s official title is the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. The modern Saudi state was founded in 1932 by ABD AL-AZIZ Bin Abd Al-Rahman Al SAUD after a 30 years campaign to unify most of the Arabian Peninsula.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the largest country in the Arabian Peninsula. Saudi Arabia’s population is 27 million, including 8.4 million foreign residents, and its capital city is Riyadh.
Saudi Arabia’s geography is diverse, with forests, grasslands, mountain ranges and deserts. The climate varies from region to region.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is located in the far southwest of the Asian continent; in the west, it is bordered by the Red sea; in the east by the Arab gulf, United Arab of Emirates, and Qatar; and in the north by Kuwait, Iraq, and Jordan; and in the south by Yemen and Sultanate of Oman. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia occupies four-fifth of the area of the Peninsula of Arab Island, at an area of more than 2,250,000 square meters.
This geographical location is remarkable, and it is a key linking point between the east and the west. It overlooks the Arab gulf and the Red sea as an important, key bridge for the world trade, and a meeting point between the east and the west.
It has always been part of the Saudi Arabia’s government vision to boost the potential of the Saudi economy, which stands as the largest in the Middle East and is a member of the G20. Maintaining its growth momentum, the Kingdom continues to offer a wide range of investment opportunities. This is mainly attributed to the strategic foresight and planning showcased through a series of development plans, thus building its social and physical infrastructure capacity and enhancing the business environment to sustain economic development and future growth.
Saudi banks always make remarkable contributions in this regard through their superior financing solutions, as they do play an integral role in expanding the Saudi private sector. Saudi Banks offer business enterprises with a powerful connection into this lucrative market, reaching to the remote corners of the country and being part of this boom of the mega projects across the different economic sectors.
Welcome to the Joint Reception of Saudi Banks, where your ambitions find an empowering platform and the right connection to success.
